Demetrius Hernandez is a talented DJ and producer who discovered his passion for music at a young age. It all began at his 8th-grade graduation pool party, where he witnessed a friend seamlessly mixing records on a pair of Technics belt-driven straight-arm turntables with a Radio Shack mixer. Intrigued by the art of DJing, Demetrius was immediately captivated, and his friend’s equipment found a permanent place at his home.
With a pair of turntables in his possession, Demetrius embarked on a journey of self-discovery, spending countless hours practicing in his basement. As he honed his skills, he mastered the art of mixing two records together, an intricate task on his belt-driven turntables with knobs for matching beats per minute (BPM). His dedication and determination paid off when he started receiving requests to DJ at small neighborhood events like Sweet Sixteen, backyard, and block parties.
Seeking further growth and experience, Demetrius joined the mobile entertainment industry, which proved to be a pivotal moment in his career. It was during this time that he learned how to read and engage with diverse crowds, adapting his music selection to create the perfect atmosphere. In this journey, Demetrius formed a strong bond with his emcee, Ali Damisi, who became not just a friend but also a lifelong brother and production partner.
Demetrius’ thirst for the club life experience was fulfilled by his childhood friends, Mada and Moody. Together, they traveled to iconic destinations like Cancun, Vegas, and Miami, granting Demetrius the opportunity to showcase his skills. They also gave him the opportunity to play in renowned New York-based nightclubs such as Club Expo, Centro-Fly, Metropolis, Webster Hall, Exit (Ktu Events), and Funkbox NYC.
Collaborating with acclaimed DJs like Skribble and Chris Moody on the production of the Saturday Night Dance Party on 103.5 KTU, titled Skribble’s House, further solidified his presence in the industry. Notably, his remix of Sneakymood Records’ “Anthony Acid & Chris Moody – Get Crazy” received recognition and praise.
Throughout his career, Demetrius has been fortunate to find mentors who have nurtured his talent and guided him to new heights. Lenny Fontana, a prominent figure in the industry, opened his parents’ basement for Demetrius to practice, even teaching him how to create club demos on a reel-to-reel recorder.
Additionally, John Kano, known for his work as Havana Funk, took Demetrius under his wing, spending countless hours in the studio teaching him the intricacies of the digital audio workstation (DAW) Propellerhead Reason. This newfound knowledge-empowered Demetrius to further his remixing skills and resulted in notable releases, such as his remix of Nikki Kano’s “Run & Hide” and his single “Barrio Noise ft. Donny Q & Chase (Sole & Spirit Mix)” on Taste the Jam Records.
Aimee Newman, a respected figure in the music industry and a pivotal connection during Demetrius’s time at Skribble’s House, played an instrumental role in introducing him to influential individuals in the business. Currently managing The Jungle Brothers, Aimee afforded Demetrius the opportunity to remix their single “The Red Cup (Demetrius Hernandez Turnt-Up Remix).”
In 2023, Demetrius established Sole & Spirit Records, a label created as a platform to showcase his productions and collaborations. Together with a talented team of singer-songwriters, musicians, and producers, he aims to release original music that will make a significant impact on the dance music scene.
Demetrius’s journey has been driven by his unwavering passion and commitment to his craft. As both a skilled DJ and a producer, he believes that it is through his talents and the collective efforts of his team that they will truly shine. With a dedication to continually push boundaries and create innovative sounds, Demetrius Hernandez is poised for an exciting and successful future in the music industry.

Ali Damisi Walwyn
A true multi-hyphenate in the world of entertainment, Ali Damisi Walwyn has worn many hats: singer-songwriter, dancer, choreographer, emcee, actor, and model. His journey began at 18 when he co-founded the freestyle group True Image, sharing stages with legendary acts like Soave, Sweet Sensation, Brenda K. Starr, and a young Marc Anthony. Though signed to Next Plateau Records, industry politics led the group to disband—setting the stage for Ali’s next evolution.
Immersing himself in the heart of New York’s underground dance scene, Ali fell in love with house music. He became a fixture at iconic parties like Sound Factory Bar’s Underground Network and landed high-profile dance gigs—including being a featured dancer in Busta Rhymes’ Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See and touring the world as a vocalist/dancer for Freedom Williams (C&C Music Factory). He also choreographed for artists like Reina and worked with NYC’s KTU radio station, all while nurturing his return to music as a singer and writer.
Teaming up with musician Anton Bass, Ali co-founded the funk/rock band Autumn Daze, gaining traction at NYC venues like The Continental and Kenny’s Castaways. That collaboration led to a deeper dive into house music, culminating in his breakout solo release Begin 2 Rise on Jellybean Records—a Billboard Hot 5 breakout and club anthem that lit up dancefloors across Chicago in 2000.
Ali continued releasing music with standout tracks like The World and Guilty Passion on Karmadelic’s Flip Your Mind album, and Vibe on Jackie Christie’s Hot & Tasty Beats Vol. 3. After stepping away to recharge from the industry’s toll, fate stepped in when he crossed paths with DJ/producer Demetrius Hernandez. Their creative chemistry sparked a long-running collaboration that began in 2008 and continues to evolve under Sole & Spirit Records.
Their reimagined track Feelin’ Everything was recently re-released on the label, setting the stage for Rhythms of Life—a powerful follow-up dropping December 29th. With renewed energy and vision, Ali Damisi is once again ready to take center stage.
This is just the beginning. Stay tuned.

Adela Winmi is a genre-defying artist whose music is a vivid reflection of a life lived between contrasting worlds. Born and raised in both the quiet suburbs of Long Island and the dynamic, ever-shifting boroughs of New York City, Adela’s sonic identity is rooted in diversity—of sound, experience, and spirit. Her work is grounded in deep emotional truth, shaped by years of self-discovery, exploration, and a fearless commitment to authenticity.
Adela’s music draws from a wide palette: the introspective storytelling of bluegrass, the polished sheen of 1980s synth-pop, the harmonic complexity of German choral music, and the rhythmic grit of rap. These influences are not merely referenced but woven together into a distinct voice that is wholly her own. Central to her artistry is a fascination with the music and cultural energy of the 1970s—a decade whose textures, ethos, and experimental spirit run like a current through her work.
Her personal journey is as eclectic as her sound. From spiritual detours through the Mormon church to nights navigating Manhattan’s concrete poetry as a teenager, Adela has gathered stories, lessons, and emotions that pour into every note she sings. Her performances are not just shows—they are invitations. She invites audiences to feel deeply, to reflect honestly, and to connect beyond the surface.
Whether performing in intimate spaces or through recorded works, Adela Winmi is driven by one guiding principle: human connection. With a voice that carries both raw power and tender nuance, she channels a passion for performance that goes beyond entertainment. Her art is a form of communion—vulnerable, immersive, and real.
As she continues to craft her evolving sound, Adela remains committed to the pursuit of truth through music. She is not simply an artist who blends genres—she’s an artist who lives in the spaces between them, turning contradiction into coherence, and experience into expression.
